How is it June?

Hi friends! Its been a long minute! I have had so much time over the last two months to think and figure out how I wanted this blog to impact my life - and impact yours. During COVID-19, I had all the time in the world to sit and write about cute clothes but in reality, I just couldn't do it. I couldn't do it because so many Americans were placed on unemployment. So many Americans were out of a job. It felt so irresponsible of me to share clothes or ask you to swipe up, when deep down you may have been stressing about paying the mortgage. I completely understand that YOU as the consumer must have some responsibility at some point, but I am also very much aware of the feeling of FOMO and the need to fit in.

I promise I am going somewhere here --

When I started this blog, it was the mark of something OFFICIAL. My fashion blog was LIVE but in reality, I was just making my love of fashion look a little more professional. If you have been following me on Instagram for a while, you know that I have ALWAYS shared my favorite clothes, shoes, sale finds.. all of it.

But most of my content was shared through mirror selfies or really poorly centered photos. I had so much fun sharing those mirror pics, though. And whether he cares to admit it or not, JW has always loved being my photog. You might have noticed that I said the word "had".. I "HAD" so much fun sharing those mirror pics.

The truth of it is, in late 2018, I was accepted to a platform called RewardStyle. RS is a digital platform that allows you to earn a commission on items that you promoted and ultimately, led to a sale. Great, right? It IS great, I am still SO EXCITED about the opportunity to earn a little side money while also doing what I love - sharing fashion. The problem became, though, my LOVE had dwindled. I became so focused on follower count, likes, collaborations - that my partnership with RewardStyle became some sort of competition. And ya'll know I AM COMPETITIVE. This ultimately made my blog lose its "appeal" to me.

Again, I'm getting there --

I am writing all of this to say - I am getting back to my roots and sharing whatever the heck I want to share, even if its not "linkable". The term "linkable" means, there are some retailers that are not part of the RewardStyle platform. Like VICI. Again, if you followed me for a while, you probably know that I spent like $5,000 a year on clothes from VICI. (Seriously, one year they sent me chocolate for christmas LOL). I can't even tell you the last time I shared VICI. But, that is changing.

Back to my roots means back to boutiques that I have ALWAYS loved - no matter the monetization part. VICI offers quick shipping, discount codes and their customer service has always been top notch for me.

Ok, I think I made my point --

I am shifting the focus of my blog from earning money to HAVING FUN! Frankly, I don't know why they two can't go hand in hand but something about the MONEY part makes it more stressful.

Now that I got that out of the way --

How are you guys? What have you been up to? JW and I took a little detour off keto during quarantine but we are back on track and doing better than ever. I have been boxing twice a week and - let me tell you - hitting a bag feels REALLY good! And of course, my love for fashion hasn't stopped. Here are some of my favorite outfits over the last few months!

JW and I went to Gatlinburg over Memorial Day and hiked Clingman's Dome. This hat is a must have! Outfit linked here!

I think I have worn this shirt at least once a week since I got it. SO CUTE! Outfit details linked here!

Everyone needs a tie dye graphic tee! And who doesn't love friends! Outfit linked here!

I know this isn't an outfit but this waffle maker deserves some recognition. :) Under $10! I've linked the waffle maker and mix here!
